The Details
The DMR V12 Magnesium is the lightweight version of the standard V12, and now features a lower profile, larger platform and lighter body to create a pedal with premium performance without the price tag to match. The larger platform on the new DMR V12 Magnesium flat pedal offers 10% more surface area than the classic shape. This means superior grip as well as support for rougher conditions and bigger hits. At just 16mm deep, the V12 Magnesium is as slim as DMR could go whilst still retaining their legendary concave feel. There is also a 20% weight saving from the last version of the V12, with the latest Magnesium version weighing in at just 350g. Finally the DMR V12 Magnesium pedal runs on fully sealed bearings and a cro-mo axle, and all pins on the pedal are replaceable and tuneable for optimum grip.

Industry Reviews
The third evolution of this classic doesn't disappoint. Underfoot it retains that well-known feeling with a good concave, just a little bigger than the older version. Grip levels aren't too far from the more extreme Vault, with noticeably more clearance due to the smaller body and less pronounced pins on pedally stuff. I found the V12 offered enough grip for most riding situations, only wanting more on really chopped out sections of downhill track and braking bumps. At the dirt jumps with a more flexible skate shoe, my foot sat comfortably in the pedal, and was easy to re-adjust when needed. The bearings will no doubt last forever in true DMR style, and its refreshing not to see a price hike following the re-design..
