Rutland Cycling Charity Policy
Rutland Cycling partners with local Mind charities for 2021!
For 2021, we are partnering with local Mind charities close to our store locations to help provide support with fundraising, volunteering days, rider sponsorship and to help raise awareness of the work and support Mind offer the local communities to our store locations. We are hoping to make a real difference through our support for these local Mind charities and their user groups.

Charity Rides and Sponsorship
As part of our work with these local Mind charities, we will be working closely with them to support their events and charity riders. If you’re looking at doing a sponsored charity ride for any of the local Minds listed, then please get in touch and we will see if there is any way that we can help you.
If, however, you’re looking at taking on an independent challenge to raise money for our nominated charity, then we will always consider your request for sponsorship. We can’t guarantee support for everyone, however where we will try to offer support in the form of sale or return goods, social exposure and help and advice.
If you would like to enquire about ride sponsorship, please send the details of your request to enquiries@rutlandcycling.com. We do get a lot of these requests, and so we are unfortunately unable to help everyone, however we will endeavour to reply to all queries, no matter what the outcome.
Fundraising
Our stores will hold collection tins at till points for the nominated charity, support fundraising events with either time, product, activities – dependent on staff availability and budget. Promote the nominated charity events via social media, in store and support PR relevant to an event. Store teams will also undertake group fundraising activities for the local Mind charities to the store location, to facilitate a strong relationship with the local charity office/service providers.
Community Support
Choosing local Mind charities near our stores will enable us to work at local level with the charity, but we will also continue to work locally with schools and communities to support their fundraising activities. Historically we have worked closely with Lincolnshire County Council and Transition Town Stamford to help improve road safety for schoolchildren in our community and Leicester City Council Bike Aid to provide bikes to NHS workers during lockdown.
If you have a local community event and would like to enquire about sponsorship, then please send the relevant information to enquiries@rutlandcycling.com. We do get a lot of queries, and unfortunately, we are not able to support everyone, however we will endeavour to reply to your query regardless of the outcome.
