The Details
MET's Downtown MIPS cycling helmet is a great all-rounder. Cool and aerodynamic, thanks to internal air-channeling and the large number of vents, it fits the wish list of features for a good road helmet. The removable visor also gives it a dynamic MTB style to the classic and elegant design - so you get a sporty look.
It is lightweight and with an unmistakable MET fit thanks to a 360 degree head belt, you can be assured that there will be no pressure points on the skull.
Featuring the MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) attached inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS, the Downtown is able to slide relative to the head in the case of a crash, redirecting damaging rotational motion. MIPS is engineered to add at least 10% extra safety to the standard construction of helmets in case of certain impacts.
