The Details
The San Quentin 3 is for the aggressive hardtail rider who wants a blend between singletrack capabilities and extended air time. With upgrades frame, forks, drivetrain and brakes from the San Quentin 1 and 2 it is a great upgrade.
The San Quentin has a Series 3 6061 aluminium frame, it is internally routed cables for a slick finish. It has RockShox Revelation RC forks with 130mm travel and optimized material concentrated at the brace and seal area giving it outstanding stiffness and steering precision.
The wheels are Marin aluminium double-wall wheels, extremely stiff wheels. They are tubeless compatible which gives you the option for a nice upgrade to tubeless tyres. The tyres that come with the bike are Vee Tire Co. Attack HPL. A tyre that is capable of handling anything. This is also a tubeless-ready tyre. It has massive grip and traction yet reliable and predictable, yet still rolls quickly and efficiently.
The San Quentin has a Shimano Deore 12 Speed groupset, a wide range of gears making it suitable for all gradients and terrains.
