The Details
The Specialized Epic Evo Comp boasts unmatched pedalling efficiency, nimble handling and a lightweight chassis with 20mm more front suspension travel than the regular Epic.
The Evo still maintains the fantastic ride quality and efficiency of the regular Epic but the Evo's suspension works in tandem with the Rx XC Tune suspension to offer increased anti-squat characteristics. The Epic Evo Comp features a 120mm RockShox SID Select fork up front with a RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock in the rear. As such, the Epic Evo Comp makes incredibly light work of tough singletrack and gnarly descents, without taking anything away from your pedalling efficiency.
The new Epic Evo combines the progressive XC race geometry with versatility and adaptability. With a flip-chip equipped rear end enabling you to adjust the headtube angle and bottom bracket height, meaning you can fine-tune the handling characteristics of the Epic so it's just right for your preferred riding style.
The Epic Evo is fast, really fast. But it's incredibly well controlled too. The X-Fusion Manic dropper post has a shifter style remote for fuss-free operation when you need it, letting you get your weight over the back end on the dicey descents. 4 piston SRAM G2 RS brakes provide smooth and controllable stopping power and perfect modulation that keeps the speed of your machine in check.
Tubeless-ready alloy rims feature a 30mm internal rim width providing an ideal tyre profile for optimal grip on the trails. Make the quick and easy conversion to a tubeless set-up for even more traction, as well as reduced rolling resistance and reduced chances of a flat ruining your ride.
