The Garmin Edge 830 Cycle Computer Sensor Bundle is the ultimate package for riders looking to animate their riding experience. Dynamic performance monitoring will allow you to gain insights into your VO2 max, recovery time, training load, whilst live metrics such as speed, distance, heart rate and elevation will allow to track your progress as you ride.
If you're looking to take your training even further, then you can sync advanced workouts to your garmin, or analyse advanced metrics, such as position and bike setup. Furthermore, a Grit and Flow feature rates the difficulty of a ride using GPS, elevation and other data and a heat and altitude acclimation feature enables you to see how you body adapts to different environments. If you're a mountain biker then you can also take advantage of MTB dynamics which offer exciting metrics, such as jump count, jump distance and hang time.
The Garmin will also ensure that you never get lost. Ride-specific mapping will allow you to visualize your route with turn-by-turn directions and a clear trail. Furthermore, if you forget to plot your route, don't fear! Simply input a distance or destination and this feature will calculate the best route possible using trend line popularity rating. Mountain bikers can also enjoy the forksight mode which automatically shows upcoming twists and turns in the trail so that you can take the corners at optimal speed.
Garmin have also included a number of safety features. The Incident Feature is programmed so that the Garmin automatically sends your location to preloaded emergency contacts if it detects an incident, whilst a PIN-protected bike alarm will notify your smartphone if your bike is moved, perfect for café stops. The Garmin can also be linked to your smartphone to display messages so that you can keep up to date with your contacts, whilst on the move.
