The Santa Cruz Megatower 2 2022 Carbon Full Sus MTB combines speed, agility and comfort in the ultimate downhill speed machine. Big 29” wheels, a long travel and a strong, but lightweight carbon frame come together to form a mountain bike that will allow you to take on the trails faster than ever before.
The MTB has been constructed with a lightweight carbon frame that minimises weight so that you spend less time climbing and more time descending, whilst also absorbing small bumps and vibrations to enhance comfort and control. Meanwhile, an excellent SRAM GX Eagle 12 speed groupset offers crisp and responsive transmission as well as a wide range of gears.
Santa Cruz have ensured the Megatower delivers strong performance over rugged terrain with the addition of a FOX 38 Float Performance fork with 170mm of travel and a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ 230x62.5 rear shock which work together to optimise control on technical terrain.
The full suspension mountain bike has also been equipped with SRAM Code R hydraulic disc brakes which deliver strong and reliable braking in both the dry and the wet. At the same time, grippy Maxxis tyres ensure you stick to the trail and can corner at speed without having to compromise on rolling resistance.
The MTB’s quality also lies in the finer details. A relatively steep seat tube angle combined with a size-specific geo maintain the bike’s pedalling ability, making it ideal for big gravity rides and downhill park laps. Furthermore, the Megatower 2 features a RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper seatpost which allows you to change the height of your saddle to adapt to the terrain ahead.
